The Economist Intelligence Unit's Livability Report, which ranks ideal destinations according to availability of goods and services, low personal risk and an effective infrastructure, placed Vancouver as the most livable city in the world for 2009.

In Mercer’s annual Quality of Living Survey for 2009, Vancouver tied for 4th spot in the world.

Selection of a New Dean for the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Faculty

The President’s Advisory Committee for the Selection of a new Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences has been struck. Committee search consultants are currently working to establish the opportunities and challenges ahead for the Faculty, as well as the ideal qualities and experiences a new dean should offer. Updates on the progress of the search can be found on the Vice President Academic’s website at www.vpacademic.ubc.ca.
